Last Updated: 19 March 2026

Welcome to Oops & Wonder. We create story-led books and resources designed to help children navigate their emotions and build a strong inner compass. Because we value trust and transparency, we want you to be fully informed about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website (oopsandwonder.com), buy our books, or engage with our magical resources.

This policy applies to parents, gift-buyers, and educators. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your data to third parties. We only share data with trusted service providers who help us run Oops & Wonder:

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States — in particular MailerLite, Stripe, and Squarespace (and also providers like Google/Meta where used).

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK/EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by using appropriate safeguards, such as:

  • Transfers to countries deemed to provide an adequate level of protection by the UK government; and/or

  • Contracts approved for international transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses), and other recognised mechanisms where applicable.

6. Cookies & Tracking (Cookie Policy)

We use cookies (the digital kind) and similar technologies to help the site function properly, remember preferences, and understand which resources are most helpful to you.

  • Essential Cookies: Necessary for the site to work (e.g., security, page navigation, and checkout).

  • Analytics Cookies: For example, Google Analytics, which helps us understand website usage and improve our content.

7. Data Retention

We only keep your data for as long as necessary:

  • Newsletter Data: Until you choose to unsubscribe.

  • Purchase Data: We retain transaction records for up to 7 years to comply with UK tax and financial legal obligations.
